3624 Holmes

Built in 1909, this home is a stunning example of the Kansas City Shirtwaist, a local version of the Colonial Revival style that can also incorporate Craftsman and Prairie School elements. R. Graves was the architect of this substantially built home featuring rustic stone on the first floor and stucco on the upper levels. The home features original green tile in the living room and all the woodwork with the exception of the crown molding. You can’t miss the stove/oven in the kitchen. It is an all-original depression era Chambers oven which was the owner’s grandparents and is the work horse of the house and it is used on a daily basis.
